Phishbowl is a DPIIT-certified, seed-funded SaaS platform built to help users detect and prevent online scams. Launched in 2022 and proudly Made in India, Phishbowl enables individuals and businesses to check if links, messages, and apps are scams — instantly. Our mission is to make digital interactions safer by becoming a trusted platform for scam detection, fraud prevention, and online verification.
At its core, Phishbowl offers AI-powered scam detection tools that help users identify phishing links, fake messages, malicious apps, and other online threats. Using a combination of machine learning, real-world scam intelligence, and open-source intelligence (OSINT), the platform analyzes suspicious content and provides instant risk insights — helping users verify what’s safe before they click, download, or respond.
For businesses, Phishbowl provides access to scam intelligence and fraud signals through APIs, enabling companies to detect risks, prevent fraud, and enhance user safety within their own platforms.

Our Founders
Shweta Patel – Co-founder and CPO
Shweta Patel is a seasoned Fraud & Financial Crime Strategy professional from Mumbai with over 20 years of experience in fraud strategy and AI modelling. She holds an M. Stat. from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and has built a global career spanning India, Australia, and N. America. From starting her journey as a campus hire at American Express to serving as Executive Director (Fraud Risk) at JPMorgan Chase, she has saved over $100 million in fraud losses. As Cofounder of Phishbowl, the world’s first scam prevention app, Shweta continues to pioneer innovations in fraud prevention.
Mazdiar Patel – Co-founder and CMO
A zealous entrepreneur from Mumbai with 20 years of Sales and Marketing experience working with multinationals and holding an MBA in Finance from NMIMS. A career spanning across India and Australia, he has set up multiple businesses in the past decade across various industries including immigration, overseas study, visas and retail. He leverages his extensive industry experience and strategic mindset to drive brand visibility and business growth. His deep understanding of consumer behaviour continues to shape Phishbowl’s positioning in a competitive landscape.

Anunay Gupta – Mentor (Business & Strategy)
Anunay is Founder Managing Director at Xcelyst Partners, a global consultancy enabling businesses to leverage their data assets for transformative impact. He brings global experience with an entrepreneurial bent of mind. In his prior role as Managing Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co, he was a member of the India Leadership Council. Previously, he co-founded Marketelligent – a leading consultancy in advanced analytics serving global clients that was subsequently acquired by Brillio. He has also had opportunities to build, scale and lead risk and analytics teams at Global Capability Centres (GCC’s) of large global banks: JPMorganChase, HSBC, Citi.
Yuvraj Gadadare – Mentor (Technology)
With 14+ years in tech training and leadership, he has mentored 10,000+ learners in Java, .NET, Full Stack, SQL, React, Node and DevOps. A former Tech Lead at eSuccessfor Solutions & Services, he has delivered impactful programs for Cognizant, Diabose, and Pelican Brown, and served as a visiting industry mentor for various engineering colleges across Maharashtra. Now Director at CIIT Training Institute and YSAAS Infotech, he combines deep technical expertise with a passion for empowering the next generation of tech founders in the B2C SaaS domain.
Sudarshan Nair – Mentor (Product & Partnerships)
Sudarshan is a senior BFSI leader with a deep banking heritage and over 27 years of experience spanning Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, ICICI Bank, Experian and most recently as the Chief Product Officer and founding member at the Indian Banks Digital Infrastructure Company [IBDIC]. He has built and scaled digital platforms for MSME, retail banking and for the credit bureau while leading large product and partnership strategies across India and global markets. His exposure also straddles creating digital public infrastructure and analytics-driven client solutions, working alongside large banks, NBFCs and Fintech companies. Sudarshan valuably combines strategic foresight with execution discipline.
